Contrasting layers

Use layers for warmth as the temperature dips. Make the look modern and interesting by contrasting textures such as chiffon, mohair and velvet.

Colour pop!

If your outfit is a dark colour like black, grey or chocolate brown, add a colour pop like a ruby red scarf or contrasting opaque tights to brighten your look and create some interest.

Daytime glam

Don’t keep sequins for after dark! A sequin top or skirt can be worn casually in winter with a big knit and chunky boots for subtle daytime glam.

Be an animal

Leopard print is big for Autumn/Winter. Keep it low key with a belt or shoes or go for a leopard coat for maximum impact.

Overcoat length (men)

When choosing an overcoat or a less formal style to wear to work, make sure it’s longer than your suit jacket to avoid a fashion ‘faux-pas’. Choose a plain, neutral colour for versatility.

Think red (men)

Shades of deep red are in fashion for men this season. Introduce a jumper or some cords or chinos in a wine, burgundy or claret colour to update your winter wardrobe.
